Learn More Information About Our Dog Waste Cleanup Solutions

Cleaning dog poop is not always high on a person's priority list. Same as house cleaning, pool cleaning, or landscaping. That's where we come in. We provide a service that is downright a stinker to most people.

Dog poop can be deadly to your lawn because of the acidic properties. It is not like cow manure contrary to popular opinion. Dogs have a high protein-based diet that creates a very acidic excrement or waste product. The longer the poop stays in the grass, the more harm it can cause.

Cow manure is in fact good for vegetation because it in fact started out as a form of vegetation. Dogs are carnivores, and their diets are very different. Most dog foods today are composed of beef, chicken, and/or pork products. This creates a high acidic waste product that is bad for your grass and can leave your backyard hard on the eyes. Contrary to popular opinion, not all poop are created equal.

At Ruff Doodie Dog Waste Removal, we take care to provide our customers with high-quality services personalized for their unique needs. We are available to take your order 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

We have a variety of services including:

Ruff Doodie is a year-round, rain-or-shine professional pooper scooper pet waste removal service. We are based in the South Bay of San Diego County. However, we are expanding to Los Angeles and Orange Counties! We are currently taking orders for Los Angeles and Orange Counties! The dogs don’t stop in the winter or rain and neither does Ruff Doodie.

The area is inspected in an orderly fashion, and no pet waste will be left behind.

Ruff Doodie will come to your home, commercial business, dog park, kennel, or homeowner's association (HOA), scoop the poop, and clean your yard of pet waste.

During each weekly visit, we will thoroughly check your yard, scoop up all the dog poop, and bag up everything we find. We come by your house on the same day each week. The scooping day is determined by the location of your house. Twice-per-week service is available in most areas for customers with exceptionally small yards, with lots of dogs, or who want their yard extra clean.

How often do you clean my yard?

There are a number of options you can choose from. The most popular are the weekly and twice-per-week services. We also offer every other week, monthly, and 1-time cleanup.

Can I request a specific day for my service?

Yes, however in order to keep prices low, we do schedule our normal routes to serve customers in adjacent areas on the same day. If you're located far from these regular routes, there may be a small additional charge. Just give us a call, and we'll work around your schedule. Note that when you do not have your yard mowed regularly, it can impact the high-quality service we provide.

Where do you clean up?

We systematically check the entire yard and remove any dog poop we come across. Basically, if a dog can go there, then our pooper scooper can go there.

How do you clean up?

All waste is double-bagged, and we haul it away and dispose of it in our own waste site. All of our tools and shoes are cleaned and disinfected between each yard with a veterinarian-approved disinfectant. That way. we don't cross-contaminate. We are 100% committed to protecting the health of the people and pets we serve.

Do I have to sign a long-term contract?

Absolutely not. If every business provided the level of high-quality service and delivered 100% customer satisfaction as we do...there would be no long-term contracts. We'll work hard to keep you as a customer and will count on that hard work to keep your loyalty.

Can you work with my dog in the yard?

Yes, we love animals; however, if your adorable pooch is an aggressive guard dog, we'll ask that you simply confine the pooch on your scheduled cleanup day. We meet with you and your dog prior to cleaning the 1st time. This usually helps the dog become more comfortable with our service person.

How am I billed?

All first-time customers pay for the first cleaning on the day of the cleanup. We accept cash, check, or credit card (Mastercard, Visa, Discover). After that point, we send an invoice on the 15th of every month, payable by the 1st of the following month.

Can I skip a day or suspend service for a while?

Yes, just give us a call. You will not be billed for the days you want to skip. Just notify us prior to us arriving.

Can I have a 1-time cleaning?

Of course...whether you need to get ready for a family reunion, party, or to sell your house, we can provide 1-time only cleaning. Note that price is slightly more than regular service as there is most likely a significant amount of accumulated waste. We suggest regular weekly service to keep on top of the poop...or rather so you don't step on top of the poop.

How will I know it's you in my yard?

The service person will be wearing a uniform and will be driving a marked vehicle.

Can I lock my gate and you still get in my yard?

Our insurer won't let us jump over fences to get into yards, and we wouldn't want to. So if you'd like to keep your yard under lock and key, please unlock it the day of your service or provide us with the location of an outside key or combination to the lock. We can also provide a combination lock that we "loan" while we are servicing your yard. If we are unable to service your yard due to a locked gate, we will still have to charge for the service.

Are you careful not to let the dogs escape?
YES! We double and triple-check the gate on the way in and out. We know how precious your pets can be.

Is there an extra charge for searching for poop in the front yard AND backyard?
NO! Ruff Doodie will check the entire property for poop.

Isn't dog poop good for my lawn...I thought it was fertilizer?

Nope, dog waste is protein-based and can burn/kill vegetation, including your nicely manicured green lawn. In fact, dog waste is considered hazardous waste by many municipalities.

Is the price cheaper if I have a small dog?

The size of the dog does not impact the price. Your price will be based on the number of your dogs that regularly use your lawn.

How does your referral program work?

The dog referral program is simple. We'll give you $25 off one month’s service for every friend or relative that you refer to our service and signs up for continuous service. If you're a commercial landscaper or property manager, please call for referral information.
